Android One Pie update broke bluetooth

I have a Nokia 7 Plus and just updated to Android Pie (9). It appears that since this update all bluetooth functions have stopped working effectively. Phone can identify devices but cannot finalise connection.

E.g.
- Fitbit identifies but then says bluetooth error.
- In-car makes bluetooth connection and transmit info to car dash but no sound comes out for both music and podcast app.
- Connect to bluetooth headset but no sound comes out.

Try a factory reset.

I have similar issue. Brand new 6.1 Nokia with 9.0 Android. I can connect to bluetooth devices but I cannot stream any audio. As soon as steam begins bluetooth connection breaks. I have tried everything. Soft hard reset. Full factory reset. Turning off adaptive battery and bluetooth scanning etc.. Nothing is working. I cannot stream over Bluetooth to car or speaker.. Connection always drops as soon as you press play.

These problems sounds like a buggy update. Hopefully Nokia can fix it ASAP. Maybe worth you reporting the problems to their tech support.
