What's up everyone?

I am writing a research article into the security of the Android mobile operating system. I am focusing on forensic computing and overall OS structure. I already have some good sources but I thought it would be a good idea to get some feedback from developers regarding their take on the security of the OS. Does anybody have any such information or experiences they would like to share? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I too am doing a project on mobile security, my focus is not on Android phones particularly, but I will be comparing security of phones (Android, Iphone, Blackberry, Windows).

I have found some nice articles but nothing specific on android I am afraid.

Personally, there are no real forms of proactive protection on smartphones, everything is reactive.

I am unsure if android security is very good as none of the apps available are checked for any malicious code and people generally have no way of checking. You can get antivirus, but there is no real way to detect if it is effective or not and antivirus cannot protect you against what it doesn’t know about.

Does antivirus protect against malware/spyware? is the hardware capable of running the antivirus/antimalware without degrading system performance.

I would love to get this discussion going more, anyone else?
