When I look at battery use on my phone the Android OS seems to always be from 60-75%. Everything else is between 6-14%. I thought I have seen people list all theirs and the OS is more like everything else, around 20% or so. Is this a problem and any ideas why it is so high?
Also, I have seen different answers for this. Can someone please clarify the difference between cell data and background data? I was under the assumption that I didn't need either (except for MMS) when I was connected via Wi-Fi. I turned off cell and background data at home while I was connected to Wi-Fi. I then opened Market but it says that it needs background data to be on. It can't get the background data from Wi-Fi?
I also thought you could receive your email with just Wi-Fi on. I turned off data and background data and set to "fetch" my email every 15 minutes in my email settings. It would not receive them unless I hit the sync icon in the email program.
Thank you in advance.
