In the first Quarter, 28% of the smartphones sold were android, and 21% were iPhones...

Well, it seems that the Android Phones have overtaken the iPhone faster than I would have thought... but still it's happening quickly.

Makes sense since Androids are sold on almost all carriers and iPhone is only 1 phone on AT&T. The marketing blitz behind the Moto Droid helped alot too.

Not surprising, this will be like Windows in the PC world. Microsoft licensed their software to run on multiple companies' computer systems, and Apple stuck with suppling both the hardware and the software (thus raising their price because they had no Mac OS competition). The software company that allows multiple devices should sell more.
