On my HTC Touch Diamond I had it protected with a password so if my phone got into the wrong hands no one could use it or access my data unless they knew the password.
On my HTC it connected using ActiveSync and required a password to connect (and I could enable standard USB Mode if I ran WMStorage, which in order to do that I had to enter the password to run it).
From what I understand Android on HTC Magic prompts you to connect to sync with Outlook using HTC Sync (So I am assuming HTC Found an Active Sync Alternative for Android) or as a Standard USB Drive). Is there a way I can lock the HTC Magic (Or any Android Phone) so no one can run anything or put in USB Mode to access my data?
Maybe it's kinda redundant to lock access to the Micro SD Card because someone could just remove the card and use a card reader, unless there is a way to encrypt, but that's a topic for another thread).
Anyways, on my Diamond there was the internal 192 MB (Or whatever it was) and the 4GB Internal Storage (Which acted the same way an SD Card would). Putting it into standard USB Mode only let me access the 4GB Storage and not the 192 MB, but in ActiveSync I could see both. On the HTC Magic is it similar, if I put the phone in Standard USB Mode do I only see the Micro SD, and does HTC Sync mode let you access both? If so, then I could block connecting to USB without the password and keep some files in the phone too...
