Android phone camera question

I'll be upgrading from my Droid 1 soon, and one of the specs that is important to me is picture quality - I was disappointed by the pics my D1 takes.

I'll probably get either the Galaxy Nexus, the Rezound, or the D4, and I'm wondering where I can get some info on each phone's pic quality. I know what each phone's resolution is, but there are many other factors in pic quality, such as the focus mechanism, the light meter, etc.

Can anyone give me any input about the overall picture quality for these phones? All help is appreciated.

Most of the pictures I take with this phone are horrible. My crappy Eris took better pictures than this thing!!

I have an htc (inc2) and sell phones daily. from what I've seen the HTC phones generally have the better camera aps and picture quality. Plus, HTC sense, while not perfect, is probably the best performing UI out of all 3 of them (sense, touchwiz and motoblur)

Schneider-Kreuznach was the lens that came with the LG enV Touch. The camera was only 3.2 mp but it did/does give good quality photos. Look at the lens of the camera phone.
