Android phones and Google Chrome OS

I'm wanting to get an Android powered smartphone, but wondering how much better will the service be once google Chrome OS is released..

anyone know how compatible they're going to be?

Google Chrome OS is not the same as Android.
Chrome OS is an operating system for netbooks while Android is a OS for phones (and also netbooks as some have proved).

Chrome OS is not out yet but the main differences I believe will be Chrome will be a linux distro much like Ubuntu but for mostly running applications within the Chrome browser on Linux.

Android will always be a separate project that will have its usual open-source and paid applications. Android also has its own browser (not Chrome) but both the "Android Browser" and Chrome Browser were based on the same rendering engine.

Go buy yourself an Android phone, you don't be disappointed :)
