Yes, you can change the font on your phone, but it requires your phone to be rooted. A guide for rooting your phone is LG Motion 4G All Things Root Guide.
Take great care and follow directions carefully if you decide to root your phone as it will possibly void your warranty and there is always a chance of rendering your phone useless.
After you are rooted, there are several font changer apps in the Google Play store. I use the Sony Sketch font on my phones.
