Help Android/Samsung email client and Outlook email

aklim

Charter outgoing server works when it feels like it. Incomming is pretty consistant. So you can receive emails and cannot send. Obviously, they don't want to fix it and just say "It is a free service". Kinda like you pay for the Chevy emblem and the car is free so no warranty.

Anyways, I am trying out Outlook.com and it works with their app but I would like to use the Android/Samsung app that was provided. I tried everything the support pages said to do but it won't hook up. So am I reduced to using their email client or what EXACTLY are the settings I should use?

email is say Andrew@outlook.com

Their video and write up doesn't work. The client won't retrieve the information using Microsoft activesync Exchange.

TIA

Back in 2010 Microsoft intentionally dropped Exchange's support for the WebDAV protocol so prior to that, most Android mail apps worked fine with Exchange but not after. Take a pass on continuing to force the native Android Mail app to work with Exchange (Microsoft just doesn't want you to), maybe you might want to just start getting used to the Outlook app or try some other third-party mail apps that focus on Exchange compatibility.
