Android Software Update

Hi, I use a phone with android v4.1.2 jelly bean and I just updated it but
the android version didn't change, actually I didn't
see any difference in my phone, I thought if I
updated the software, the android version would
change, so what can I do to upgrade my android
version to at least 4.2??

Not all software updates change the OS version.

Some are small updates.. Like many Samsungs get bugs so they make bug fix updates

Hi there. Has anyone found the update to kit Kat 4.4.2 miserable? Messenging stopped working and things freeze all the time. I hate it!

Back everything up and do a factory reset. It will make your device run like it should.

I recommend doing it after any major update.

I backup my music and photos with Google, and reinstalling apps is easy and doesn't take to long.

The factory reset can be a bit intimidating and time consuming (reinstalling apps). But, it's the best way to get things operating correctly. I, too, made the mistake of the OTA update. It created a number of glitches on my S4.

I've a Note 3 and haven't received any 4.4.2 update notifications.

Did I miss something?

I was still under the impression that it hadn't been released by AT&T yet because I would suspect that we would see significantly more churn related to issues and problems that it may cause.
