Is there a list of which manufactures have the best updates for their phones and which ones have the worst? I'm looking at getting a new phone and I don't want/like the Pixel phones but I know they are the best for updates. I do like Samsung but I know they take ages on getting the latest android updates.I'm trying to find something in between. Are any of the Chinese ones any good?

I've read that Nokia are good, they've committed to 2 years of Android updates and three years of security updates.
 
Essential are good, but the only phone they ever made has just been discontinued so stock will be hard to find and we don't have good indicators of a successor.

Avoid LG: at the moment they seem to be about the slowest of the big brands (yes, even slower than Samsung). And HTC have become very slow at updates too.

With most manufacturers you get a shorter support period with their cheaper phones.
