Apps Android Studio 2.2.2 GridLayout Does not work

Can somebody please HELP me with Android Studio 2.2.2. The Gridlayout does not work correctly. Is this an Android Bug ? Does someone know a work around, or is there a setting or setup feature I can enable. I am struggling trying find help
