Android Studio Bumblebee -- Emulator Extended Controls Don't Work

Hi --

I just updated to Android Studio Bumblebee and the "extended controls" button on the emulator don't do anything. Has anyone else ran into this issue? And if so, were you able to get it to work?

Thanks

Rich

Was your emulator running in a tool window?
Currently, you can't use the emulator's extended controls when it's running in a tool window. If you do need the extended controls, use the Android Emulator as a standalone application instead.

How do I get the emulator out of the window mode? Android Studio used to open it separately and now it doesn't.

Thanks

Ok I found the answer on Stack Overflow.

You have to change a preference for the emulator

Settings --> Tools --> Emulator --> uncheck "Launch in a tool window"

Then the Emulator behaves as in prior versions of the IDE.

I ended up reverting back to Arctic Fox and all sorts of problems disappeared, including AVD Manager not working, COCOAPODS errors, images not linking, and various other problems which didn't work on Bumblebee now working just fine. Bumblebee is just not a stable release yet!
