android tablet question.

hhgreg has to tablets on sale for $99. kyros 4gb anrdoid 2.3 and a android mulitmedia tablet and color ebook reader. Would they be decent for a kid that does not take very good care of stuff? I personally would not get him one but my mother n law wants to get him that or an Ipod.

I would get him an ipod (with a nice protective case since he is rough).

the ipod would be much more portable and have much better games (considering the probably cheap processor in a 100 dollar tablet).

I never would have gotten an android tablet (ASUS Transformer) if i didnt already have an android smartphone that covers my portability needs because i can take it anywhere.

Tablets are good for supplementary media when i want something more than a phone and less than a laptop, but I have to have the phone (or other portable media device) before i can justify a tablet.
