Android Tablet

Would someone please tell me in words of one syllable, how to put Apps that won't download directly onto my Android Tablet onto an SD Card from ' My Library' on my PC. I am told by the seller of the Tablet that this is the way to do it, but hasn't explained in any instructions how to do it. Then I can put the SD Card into the Tablet, and hopefully upload the Games? Help`!!!!!

Hello and welcome to Android Forums! :)

Are you talking about downloading an .apk file to your PC and moving it to your tablet? First, be careful about downloading any files from unofficial sites as they can contain malware and other various nasties. Second, make sure the apps you do download are free for distribution from the developer. We do everything we can to protect developer's rights as they are the life blood of Android.

To install an .apk file, you need a file manager like Astro or ES File, and you need to enable installing apps from unknown sources. It's under menu>settings>applications.

In the file manager, navigate to the file. If it's on you sd card it will be in /sdcard (sometimes the obvious answer is also the right one ;) ). Tap on it and you should be prompted to install.
