Android update for Galaxy Tab 3

I wonder when Samsung will update the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 to Android 4.3 :)
I got that on my Google 7 (original) last month and love the stingy power use. Much better and very noticeable, comparing with the Android 4.2.2

Me too.... I just grabbed a this 8.0 tab on Sunday. Went in to get 10.1 2014 edition, held the 8.0 and was sold. LOVE the size of this thing.
4.3 soon hopefully...... :)

As the rumors go, I'm under the impression that we are going to receive 4.4 instead. Samsung have confirmed multiple users capability for the 8.0 and the 10 inch...

I have had this tab 3 for awhile now and the original 4.2.2 that came on it wouldn't run any Screencast apps and trust me I tried em all, I'm a gamer and I do a lot of tutorials and walkthroughs, so I needed a fix, I then rooted the device installed philz touch the flashed android 4.4.2 CM11 build and I'm gonna tell ya guys I couldn't be more happy, I thought this device was sick before, but now IRS unbelievable, if anyone wants to try out this ROM and kernel pm me and let me know I'll send you the link, its not my build so if u do decide make sure to thank the guys and give proper credit.. Just let me know

They've announced the US Tab 3 8 is getting KitKat, but what about UK models?

I tweeted Samsung UK about KitKat on the UK Tab 3 8.0 and this was their reply:

"Hi. There is currently no release date for KitKat on these devices. Thanks"

Having only bought the device recently to replace my Xoom, I'm disappointed at the possibility of having invested in an out of date device.

I've always been hesitant about Android that has been messed with and this is the reason why. Next time I will pay more for a vanilla Android device.

Official Kitkat update available on SamMobile.
Kies update in France.

This update gives Multiple users capability to the tab.
The firmware is very similar to the firmware on the S5.
But some of the apps are not updated from JB to KK yet...

My UK Tab 3 8 received 4.4.2. I turned off auto software updates, so only discovered it when I did a manual check.

KitKat 4.4.2 Rom Downloader, 2 May 2014, available in PlayStore. Dare I risk it for my Galaxy SII or Tab3? Has anyone tried it?
