android updates for sony xperia v

hi.
I am planning to buy sony xperia v because the specs seem too owsum at the price.
The only problem is it was released last year, so, i fear even though it may get a planned upgrade to jelly bean, will it become obsolete in the near future???

This is always a concern with buying a phone that is a year old in this time of new phone hardware every 6 months. However, my recommendation is to pick one with good hardware for what you want (i.e., more RAM for gaming, more memory for music lovers, etc.) and if you are concerned with having the latest OS, start investigating into rooting your phone so that you can load ROMs with the latest OS onto your phone.

However, I think you'll find that you'll be just happy with a custom home launcher and some cool apps!
