Android Upgrade for ZTE

Saw some links that will supposedly upgrade the Avail 2 phone to Android 3. There is a "KIES" software application that is supposed to be essential. Tried to download it from a university desktop and got a "site blocked" message. Is there a reputable source for this file. Guidance sought

Kies is a Samsung utility and works only with Samsung devices.
