Android USB host - compatible with webcam?

here the deal, i have a samsung galaxy S2 and a USB to mini USB adapter, what i want is: use the mini USB port of the S2 for connect the cellphone to the webcam, this through a aplication, so a can take photo with better cuality.

i found that android 3.1 have USB host, in less words i want to know, it is possible to control a webcam with my S2 and use it with any purpose?

To connect usb devices like a flash drive you'll need a USB-OTG adapter.

However to connect a camera I couldn't guarantee it. You may find apps will not see it or there could be driver incomptabilty.
