Now that Android Market has implemented the app's version number tags to each user review, it is useful for both developers and potential downloaders.
But how will this version number tags evolve after the review has been edited by the user upon updating of the app in his mobile phone to the latest version? In a nutshell, the scenario is like this:
1. User (let's call him XYZ) downloads and installs v1.0 of ABC123 app
2. XYZ finds it crappy, and writes a lousy review in the Android Market. This review will be tagged with v1.0
3. ABC123 has been improved and is now available in v2.0
4. XYZ downloads and installs v2.0 and finds it great
5. XYZ goes back to Android Market and with the intention to write a review, will only be directed to 'edit' the previous review he has written for v1.0.
6. XYZ edits it with positive review and submits it.
Question: When the developer and potential downloaders sees XYZ's review for ABC123, will it be tagged as v1.0 or v2.0? From a previous simple experiment i have done, it seems that v1.0 is shown eventough good words are actually written for v2.0.
Has anyone thought or experienced this before? Any comments will be much appreciated
Best regards,
Keith
