Help Android virus/spyware help needed, please.

Hi,

I received an email this morning from my dad's email address which asked for some unnamed invitation request. I immediately realised it's spam and saw that the originating email address is info@flipmailer.com.

After calling my dad he told me that he received an email two days ago from a work colleague which asked for the same thing. The original source of this email address is also info@flipmailer.com. Thinking that this was a meeting invitation, he clicked the accept button in the email whilst using his samsung android phone but didn't see anything pop up and no website link was opened. He never opened the original flipmailer email on his laptop and I also scanned it for adware and viruses. Since then, two additional family members have received this same email address from info@flipmailer.com hiding behind my dad's email address.

I checked his sent items and can't find any flipmailer emails. I suspect that flipmailer somehow gained access to his address book on the samsung android phone. Is this even possible? Is there anything I can run on the android phone to check if there is a virus of any spyware still on there? I googled this issue but I can only find topics related to windows PC infections, nothing to do with android phones.

Does anyone perhaps know what I could try, any recommendations? I doubt they'll stop sending emails from his email address and to his address book but I would just like to make sure there isn't anything dodgy still on his phone seeing that he also uses it for Internet banking.

I also forgot to mention he is using a samsung Galaxy s5.

Thanks!
