Android volume control

When I go to sleep and put the phone in "mute" or in the daytime when I leave the phone on mute for a little while, it won't return the same volume as it was before on the "notification" and the "system".

Is there a way to make the phone memorize to also return those back to where they were before I muted it?

(Using Note 3 with Lollipop.....I hate the volume control even more now in Lollipop, or Lolli-poop, than before. Although this problem has always been there it was easier to access the notification and system volume before. )

I use two tasks in Tasker.

One task saves the current setting of each control and sets some of them to zero. (I leave Alarm, In-Call, and Media alone,)

The other task returns each setting to the saved value.
