Android Will not Take Photos

[Android Question]

I never had an SD card in my phone to begin with (Or at least I never put on in), and recently I went to take a photo and my camera on my phone said that I needed an SD card. Now my phone took and saved photos and videos before, so why would things change? Also all of my saved photos were deleted.
I restored my phone back to factory settings and I don't understand

It is possible that you filled up your internal memory with pictures and videos.
Restoring your phone back to factory settings can erase your videos and pictures - I recommend backing them up to the cloud via Google+ or Google Drive.
