Android-x86 8.1 VMware

Hi, I have Android-x86 7.1 on VMware and Windows 10 Host. I would like to install Android 8.1 stable. I've followed a lot of videos on YouTube about 8.1 but I can't get it to work. I've tried many ways to install it (create OS later, use existing Hard Drive, straight from ISO) but I get a black screen. I tried many ways of creating a HDD, make it bootable, format ext4, but nothing works. When I'm done with installation and "run Android-x86" or "Reboot" I get a blank screen. Android doesn't load. I've actually had this problem in the past with Android 8.1 not working when 7.1 works. I had to hit TAB on the installation screen instead of going straight to install and enter a "Mod" command and then it would work. I don't remember what command I entered ("user mod" etc..) to get it to work. I found 1 video on YouTube with the command but the screen is too small and I can't see the command and subtitles doesn't help either. So, does anyone know what command I enter on the installation screen (TAB button)? Or any other ways of installing 8.1? Please reply. Thanks

Do you know if this "Android 8.x stable" is actually supposed to work and is compatible with your particular system? Some of these Android-X86 projects are only built for specific hardware and environments

Maybe nobody here knows, and so can't help you?

Here you can grab android images to install in VB or VMware...
https://www.osboxes.org/android-x86/
Unfortunately the newest one on their page is 8.1 release candidate 1, not 8.1 stable. I didn't see the stable release on their Sourceforge:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/osboxes/files/v/

@nethunter321 the page @GameTheory linked has two notes that might help you:
  • Important! For VMware: After setting up, go to “Virtual Machine Settings” > under “Hardware” Tab > Select “Display” > Enable “Accelerate 3D graphics”]
  • Fix Blankscreen issue: Go to Settings > Display > Sleep > Select “Never time out

Another Android-x68 guide for Virtual Box if you want to try it:

I didn't realize that in the tutorial I posted there's already a link to "8.1 stable".

Good catch! This sounds like it would fix the issue he's having.
