Angry Birds Backup

I need to rebuild my wife's phone (Android 2.1) and she doesn't want to lose her Angry Birds progress...what do I need to backup to keep it?

You need root access and Titanium backup, there is no other way afaik.

Actually if you just copy the highscores.lua file which can be found under /data/data/com.rovio.angrybirds/files you can copy that to any other device with Angry Birds installed. I did this successfully from DINC to my Galaxy Tab, you will need root explorer to do this so you will need to be rooted on both devices.

If you're not rooted, you may still be able to boot the phone into recovery mode and use adb to find that file.

There are 2 programs now available on the Market that let you Backup your scores onto your SD card. One is called Angry Backup. The other Angry Birds Seasons Backup. Angry Backup costs $.99 while Angry Seasons is FREE. Both give you the option of unlocking all the levels. This program will work on UN-Rooted phones.
