angry birds not loading

I have been playing game for awhile but now when I click on the icon to play it says loading and goes back to my wallpaper screen. This did happen before and I had to delete and reload the app but now I will lose all of my progress. Any suggestions?

Install Angry Birds Backup from the market,
backup your progress,
make a note of your UUID on backup,
uninstall angry birds.
reinstall angry birds,
play one level and exit game,
restore progress from backup.

This should work.

when it wasnt starting for you, did you try to reboot your phone / tab?
because games sometimes crash and when your using the HOME button then (or get a call or whatever) then the game still runs in background (but crashed) and when you tap the icon you will just get to the game, not restarted but still in crash. know what i mean?
