Annoying Ads since update

Gal S7. recently downloaded the update on 12/20. now i am bombarded with ads during a call, text, etc. called Verizon and they said Google and Samsung designed update this way. no way to turn off. is there a good Ad blocker anyone found that works to stop this? i understand their "desire" for more revenue, but when it negatively affects my doing business on my phone, SAME on them

Not true. The Verizon rep was full of it.

Neither Samsung nor Google push ads like that. More likely it's another app that updated around the same time that's pushing the ads. You wouldn't have Peel remote installed by any chance? That's been know to behave exactly that way.

I'm finding very similar activity. I have t-mobile as my provider. They (their local store) claims that it isn't t-mobile. Also I note that most of the ads are coming through a Samsung browser which I've tried to remove. Result is that quite often when I logon to my phone the screen won't accept input until I've pressed the init button, bottom center actual button. Then a dark line, possibly a badly displayed ad, will be withdrawn.

Clear your browser's cache. If that doesn't stop it, clear the browser's data. If most of the ads are "coming through the browser" you may simply have picked up an aggressive ad script from some site you visited.
