My wife's Samsung J7 (Verizon) displays 2 annoying popups (toast) upon startup...from cold or restart: "Mobile data turned off" and "Airplane mode turned on". Each is accompanied by additional text explaining how Wi-Fi, internet, Email or other apps can't be used without a data connection. We get it! We're tired of the extra steps required just to turn on the phone. To make things worse, there used to be an option to "not see" the Airplane mode warning that I checked off. Didn't work. Still comes up as it always has and now it doesn't have the optional switch to turn it off (that didn't work).
This is the way we usually use the phone. We use Wi-Fi for just about everything when we're home. We don't need to use our data allotment. Consequently, mobile data is turned off and Airplane mode is turned on. Yes...we turn on Wi-Fi after making sure mobile data is off and airplane mode is on.
What do we have to do to stop these annoying popups from being displayed every time we start up the phone?
