annoying text messages from Verizon 6250

I am getting spammed from Verizon with texts that say "VZWNMN:1"

After researching online, I disabled their Backup Assistant Plus last night.

I'm still getting them, but have disabled them via Handsent.

Anyone else getting these?

Did you disable the contact management from the my verizon website? I don't think it can be stopped without going there...

I think I finally got it. You also have to disable email sync.

That is correct. This is something that you actually enabled at some point, probably on a legacy device. You'd be amazed at the people who still get annoying VZW Pix Place messages. Sounds like you have it fixed, though.

If anyone else has the issue a quick call to *611 and some mindless banter with someone poking around OPAL can clear this up for you pretty quickly. There is an Alert up and all representatives should be aware of this issue.

Yes, you will need to do this online. While you can try your mobile browser it is not "officially" supported.

I got my first one today. First I thought it was a minutes warning but that doesn't make sense because I'm 3 days into a billing cycle. I don't use backup assistant because it sucks. I'm all about Google.
