Help Another car dock quirk!

Today, I plugged my GS3 into my new i-Bolt car dock. It automatically goes into "car mode."

But, when I turn the camera on (like a dash-cam), the live image is UPSIDE-DOWN. This is the case for video or still camera. If I unplug the power supply, the image uprights itself. Plug it in, and it goes upside-down again.

Not that I'd have much occasion to use the camera in this manner... but, very weird! Any thoughts?

Does it work normally not in car mode (can you turn off car mode and test camera)?

The camera orients itself fine not in car mode when plugged in on mine.

Also did you check your screen rotation setting?

I understand the ibolt puts the home button to the left, I think to the right is the expected horizontal orientation.

I'll have to try that. The question remains.... why does it go upside down in car mode?

Hi, we at iBOLT.co put the home button on the left as we determined that the volume button should be on the top side. However, the only side effect discovered so far is that the camera does indeed preview upside down. The actual recording will always come out right though. Unfortunately the only way at this time is to turn the cradle 180 degrees or unplug the microUSB while recording in order to keep the preview image in correct position. We are trying to find out why this happens but so far without success... We will let you know when we find a fix.
