Another iteration of the One this Fall?

A comment on reddit.com by David from OnePlus makes it clear that they are hoping to add band 20 LTE later in the year. I wonder what other changes may be coming...
Regarding the band 20..., if things go well, sometime between (late) Q3 and Q4.

But it will definitely be the One and not another new device:
Not sure what's gonna happen in the future, but I can tell you there will be no more phones this year.
this year we will just be focusing on the One and that there will be no more models.
We are all about the OnePlus One currently. We want to make sure it becomes a success so we have a better direction for what to do in the future.

How would they add band 20? Software I assume since it's not another phone? Meaning hardware is in place already?

Same phone, just a different cellular radio probably, one that's got band 20 added. It's a change that can easily be made for subsequent production runs. Might need a change in the antenna design as well.

Would be great if they also added CDMA compatibility to the OnePlus One, but I'm not expecting that to happen considering how much more popular GSM is worldwide.

It won't happen because CDMA is basically dead. In the next two years, Verizon and Sprint will transition to Voice over LTE and begin phasing out their CDMA networks (will probably take several more years, but 90+% of their customers will be in LTE areas within 2-3 years), which will effectively kill CDMA in the 1st world.

It's a relatively safe bet that 3 years from now, there won't be any flagship phones with CDMA bands built in.

Edit: The same is more or less true for GSM, but it's worldwide prevalence will keep it relevant for a few extra years.

I think there could be a place for a CDMA OnePlus, China Telecom. Because the I don't think Telecom will be killing off their CDMA service in the immediate future, we don't even have LTE in this city yet. And outside of the city it's CDMA and GSM/EDGE only. Also CDMA does have an advantage over LTE technologies, is that its range is much further. And in the grasslands of Inner Mongolia, can be quite a long way from the nearest cell-tower and still get a usable service with CDMA or GSM.

Yeah, don't know the exact list, but Verizon says there's ~20 countries in the world that you can roam on CMDA, but the majority are in Central and South America and Asia.
