Help Answer Machine Notification

My voicemail costs me a small fortune to listen to so I hardly bother.

But My Samsung S keeps the notification at the top until I listen to the damn thing

Any help in getting rid without having to listen to VM ?

Never used voicemail, but just a wild guess, roll down the status bar, and press clear?

Wish it was that simple, theres no clear option
