Help Antivirus needed?

Do I need an antivirus? When I got the Ascend II, it froze up & I took it back to the Cricket store. They said that I had gotten a virus from ebay & needed a new phone. So I bought a new one (pro-rated). I bought the Lookout Premium app & it is time to renew. Is it worth the $30.00 to get it again or will Avast do the same thing for free?

There's a couple of camps of thought on this.

I'm pretty firmly in the "you don't need antivirus on android" camp, but if it makes you feel safer, it can't really hurt


How do they think you got a virus from eBay?


If you're going to get one, go for a free one. $30 is crazy for mobile antivirus !
