Any app that keeps GPS always on?

Any app that automatically and continually turns GPS on without prompting? So If I turn off GPS manually and that App is running in background it will turn it back on. Can this be done programatically? If so, would be a nice App for sure.

I just tested on my Samsung EPIC... turned GPS on, powered off my phone and came up and GPS was on .. toggle for GPS does not prompt which good too. But if an applcation needs GPS and GPS is off,it will prompt for it.

I use Widgetsoid2 on my Optimus, when I click the widget GPS (and widget) turns on/off. But the same widget on my Galaxy Player, the click goes to the settings screen (an extra step to turn GPS on/off). Is that a function of android version? Are there GPS widgets that will turn GPS on/off directly (in 2.3.5)? If the widget is on, apps like NAV don't ask.
