Apps Any Dev's interested in helping with new google voice app?

I complain about it, saying 'how hard is it to...' but why not put my money there.

It can't be hard to do one of the following options:

1. Have google voice messages forwarded to the default messenger so that it shows up like a normal text, complete with notifications and all -- I know you can have texts forwarded to the phone but this way you avoid paying for the text that you got through google voice...

2. Even if you don't want to avoid paying, you should at least be able to write a messenger app that removes the gvoice-contact's name from the message. Its very annoying to recieve "Tom Thumb: Tom Thumb - yo"
And also, how hard would it be to have the messenger app see that the text is from a google number, parse that name that comes in the text, and check it against your contacts to auto-link that number to a contact and put it in any existing threads?

Prettymuch comes down to - fix/reroute gv messages to proper programs and edit them so they read properly, or write an all-in-one messenger that automatically incorporates GV like it was a text.

The second option would obviously be more of a hassle as it'd require some UI design, but I think if I got a stable version finding an artist would be easier. I can do a decent UI to start with.

Or does anyone with more Android knowledge think this would be a bigger problem than I'm estimating?
