Any dissapointed europeans here?

I was really looking forward to the HTC supersonic but now that it looks like it only going to be available on Sprint, so only in the US.

I was desperately hoping it would be GSM based, but i guess it wont be. The next best option would be the HTC Desire, and i probably will end up getting it but imo a 3.7" screen isnt as good as the 4.3" you would find on the HD2.

So now im wondering should i wait for a possible European bound android phone with a 4.3" screen or just go ahead and get the desire? As you can tell the screen really is a big deal for me.

I know what you mean about screen size, my eyesight isn't great and the (slightly) larger and brighter screen is one of the things tempting me to ditch my hero for the desire.

I've taken a look at the HD2 and, although the screen size is great, it just makes the whole device a little too large for me.

I don't know a whole lot about the Supersonic but I did hear that it's basically a modified HD2 with Android on it. If that is the case then I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a hacked android ROM available for the HD2 after the Supersonic is released, Apparently dual booting HD2 with android is supposedly possible.

Don't take my word though, as I'm just repeating stuff I've half seen. Do some investigation. If android is possible on HD2 it might be the answer to your problem.

yeah i've read about that, but i really dont want to get into hacking and rooting. I'd just prefer an official release

Not really. I've never heard rumours of Supersonic coming to Europe, and for me it would be too big. The Desire is what I'd prefer and what I'll get.
I'm sure at one point a 4.3" Android will come to Europe, though.
