Any easy way to change fonts on G1 ?

I have tried everything to get the new ICS Roboto fonts on my G1 running COS-DS but it seems I do not have full root. I have S-ON which means I can flash a new radio but not fonts ??? Ridicualous !!!!!!! So how do I add some fonts on my G1? Is there an easy way?

No clue... I'll just say I used Font Changer (root) - Android app on AppBrain on my Opt-V and installed Comicsans, and it worked and looks great. I am rooted though.
