I'm hoping that another member here has a new Pioneer Android Auto NEX Series HU installed, synced, and properly functioning with Android Auto/Verizon Droid Turbo. My understanding is that the Pioneer NEX should display those apps that are on the handset that are AA comparable. I'm currently using the Pioneer cabling kit that is specific for the unit but I can't get the HU to display the few compatible Apps. The Turbo does appear to properly sync (HU takes control of handset) with the HU and does respond to voice commands for SMS, and phone calls, but no display.
I have the Pioneer USB cable kit installed in the correct port as well as the iPod. I have tired to 'cable' as per the poor instructions from Pioneer including the MHL Adapter (sp?) with no luck. The only way it will sync is via the USB Cable in port 2 directly into the Turbo, but does so without displaying the Apps. Do I have the cabling correct?
I guess there is the possibility that Pioneer's promos simply fail to mention that the Androids will not display like the iPhone's? if that is the case I would love to know so I won't pull my hair out any longer...
Responses and feedback would be greatly appreciated.
