Any good options for a slim S5 case?

I just got the Spigen Neo Hybrid case. Seems decent, but its to damn thick on an already huge phone. On my Galaxy S2 I had a D30 silicone case that I loved. Are their any other cases out there that do not add lots of bulk and are relatively protective of the phone?

Yup, the Speck CandyShell Grip case works great for me.

I carry my phone in my T-shirt pocket and the case fits there snug enough to not fall out. Which is why I ordered the one with the Grip ridges.

I have always used a Neck Strap to keep from loosing a phone, but most phones do not have tie off points anymore. That is a failure in Samsung's design IMO. Had they included a Neck Strap tie point, I would not have ordered a case.

If you don't like black, go with fancy :D

+1 on the Speck Candyshell. I got the regular Candyshell because I think it's a little more comfortable to hold for the S5, but I have the grip on my S4. The Geo keeps the back of the case from scratching if that might bother you. On the white ones you can't see it but on the black ones you can. They're both great cases and don't add bulk but give decent protection. Lots of damage free drops here.

I picked up a Tech21 Impactology case which is made with D3O high tech impact absorbing material. I love it. It is slim, wraps around the front of the case to protect the glass in the event of a drop. It feels great in the hand.

They have a glossy finish and a "tactical" matte finish. Both are nice. I like them so much I am thinking about getting the tactical also.

I picked up a Candy Shell Grip case at Target right after I got my S5. It seems to protect decently and it does feel good in the hand. The thin piece right above where you plug in the power seems like it is too thin but time will tell. I got the slate gray with aqua accents and it looks pretty good on the phone. I like it

Bought the Ringke Slim Soft feel case for $10 off of Amazon, very nice tactile feel to it, a little grip, and adds nearly nothing to the phone itself. Came with screen protector, as well.

i ordered the spigen slim case. i am also like others.. i dont like a bulky case. that rinke case looks nice.. i might order it as well..

The Ringke case I bought

is very similar to the Spigen case I was going to get...

Same price too. I am pretty happy with the amount of grip on the Ringke, but a little more would be okay for sure.

Curious to know how much tackiness the spigen has... I would like a little more rubbery feel to it. I had a body glove case on my iphone that i loved... if I could find something like it, it was super durable. But the Ringke, definitely does not add much bulk to the phone. But it makes the charging port cover tough as hell to get open. I have no nails, so I have to use a butter knife all the time.

I have the SecondSkin Case from BoxWave. Its so thin you almost cant tell you have a case on. I had an otterbox before that, and it feels like a new phone now with the thinner case on it. Pretty sure they make other slim cases too.

I don't have an S5 but a Spigen Neo for my Nexus 5. It's slin with great protection. Dropped my phone three times with no damage.

I'm a fan of TPU cases and usually go with Diztronic or LUVVITT. I have this one (but in pink) http://www.amazon.com/LUVVITT%C2%AE-CLEARVIEW-Scratch-Resistant-Transparent-Packaging/dp/B00D50GVIW

I agree with you, dawn. I've always loved the TPU cases for their lightweight, slimness, good looks, and good grip. AND they slip in and out of a bluejean pocket easily.

I've just got my 3rd Diztronic, this one for my GS5. They didn't have gloss black this time, which I usually prefer for the grippiness. So I went with the matte black:

Now that I've used it a while, the matte finish is a bit less grippy than I like, but I'm getting used to it.

Hi there,

I feel the same way like you do. I do not need bulky phone cases and huge armors that make my phone look like a Motorola phone from 1990s.

This is not my shop or I do not have anything to do with it, but I found on uk ebay a shop that is called "Ecell-Accessorize" or "Ecell_Accessorize". And there basically they make for you any type of picture or painting or print or whatever u can think of on high quality slim hard back snap on cases. I bought 3 for my wife's SGS4 mini and 2 for mine SGS5. The quality is outstanding and if you buy 2 or 3 you get them all at half price or even less and the delivery is free.

They have like 1 million samples of every picture or image you could possibly want

I didn't even know that shops like that existed on the uk ebay. You can see in the link what I bought!

How snug is this? Is there any room under the case to store a sim card do you think?

I couldn't say, it seems pretty snug, I know that sim cards don't take up too much, but with it under there, you may have a hard time getting the front lip to catch and hold. May be better off going with a softsided silicone case.

I just got the black case from GidCell on Amazon. You can search under "GidCell Samsung s5 Case". Comes with a screen protector, a little stylus, and a microfiber cleaning cloth. Was pretty cheap and actually nice quality. I think they also have a purple and hot pink as color options. The case is pretty slim and low profile. Good luck.
