Any idea what Verizon would charge to break an BB contract and go to Droid?

I am contemplating a move from the BB Tour to the Droid but I'm only about 4 months into my contract. What would be the fees and expenses of going to a Droid? Cost of Droid + ETF on the BB Plan?

Frankly, I love the Tour. There's nothing wrong with it except the OS that ships on the device. With a leaked OS/hybrid, the phone works well. It just doesn't do everything the Droid does.

I'm committed to Verizon. They've done well by me in the past and I like their "map for that" coverage.

It should be the same plan. You just pay the full retail for the Droid and continue your service contract.

Full retail would be $299, right?

I really want to tinker with the device first. The keyboard is my biggest concern. Read that it's easy to pound down on two keys at once, etc.

Unfortunately, no. The two prices I have seen are $599 at Best Buy and $559 at Verizon.
