Root Any limitations on SU apps?

I applied the root, and am very happy with both the ease and end result! Thanks! You are all my heroes!
Because the Super User file was renamed, does that preclude using any of the various Super User apps?
I'm not clear on the implications of what you had to do as far as renaming the file. Am I right as far as the difference between our root and other methods?
What exactly do I need to keep in mind? Are there any apps I shouldn't download or things I shouldn't do?
Just trying to cover my bases.

If I understand correctly the superuser app included with the script was renamed and all the code changed to reflect the new name. If you try to update SU for example it will stop working.

In other words use any app you want that needs superuser (root) access but don't try to replace the one we are using.
Why do you want to switch to another superuser application?
 
I don't. I just don't want to do something wrong. Which I'm prone to do. I just remembered reading that the name had been changed.
 
before i read the advice about updating SU, my phone had already updated to a newer version. maybe im in the 1% here but I have yet to have any problems even with that update.

As far as I know there are no limitations to SU, once the phone is rooted then all programs needing access to SU will have it. The SuperUser.apk just stores whether programs can or cannot get SU rights without user input.
