Any luck with a bluetooth earpiece?

Hi, all-

I'm about to buy a bluetooth earpiece for my phone, and wanted to get one that is compatible with the Nexus 7, as well. So far, I can't find a single reference online that will help me with this! I want a mono earpiece, not stereo headphones, and am interested in using it with Google+ hangouts, Skype and the like.

My old earpiece unfortunately connected to the Nexus 7 as a "phone audio" device, but the N7 has no "phone audio" so it was useless.

If I actually bought a stereo bluetooth headset, could I use that to talk on my phone and use Skype and G+ Hangouts on the N7?

Thanks for any light you can shed!

I use a caliph icon earpiece. Works, pairs fine...but the sound quality is poor: OK for speech, but not for music.
Maybe all are poor in that regard though.

Found a lot of good info on that one and a few others... the Jawbone Icon HD looks like the one for me.

Thanks!

I've been using the Rocketfish RF-MAB2 on my HTC Rezound and it works great with my N7 as well.

It's a different style, around the head both ears stereo, plus mic for phone calls and video chats.

Look it up, got it at Best Buy for about half of what some of the "top" brands were at the time. Pretty good battery life too.

Thanks, rootbrain- That looks good, too. I think I've decided to go with a regular old mono one, though... don't need to listen to music with it, and the stereosity makes it a bigger accessory than I need.
