Hi there,
I'm trying to recover a deleted file from the internal memory on a Verizon Galaxy S5. Ive been searching around for all possible options, but it looks like it'll be damn near impossible, short of somehow hacking the NAND chip itself. before i give up on it, I wanted to check with people here to see if there's anything i'm missing.
So far, these are the options i've looked into and why they can't be done.
Thanks y'all!

- connect the phone to a pc and run recuva: why in the world did google decide removing mass storage was a good thing?
- apps from the play store: require root
- adb backup of the phone: won't contain a deleted file
- root, run recuva, aps, or mass storage: blocked by BOG5
- dd dump: needs root
- Custom recovery, NANDROID dump, scan that: again, BOG5. i'm getting this friend away from verizon asap
Thanks y'all!
