Any reviews on Avira anti virus?

Im about to try the Avira anti virus. It seems to be scoring really well in av-tests. It is also very light and simple. But noticed one thing. Other anti virus apps like Avast and CM security always run in the background but Avira does not. It's in the cached processes. This is good for the battery but is it good for the security? Anyone used it?

First up uninstall CM Security, it's snake oil and very likely sending private info from your device to CM Servers in China, it's worse than any malware you'll get from not having protection insalled. :)

To be honest, if you're mindful of what you install and only use legit sources AV isn't really needed. I've never used it in over 6 years of having an android device.

If you do want something, take a look at malwarebytes, it's pretty good.

El Presidente speaks the truth. Use common sense, only install from legit sources and you'll be ok.

He's also right about CM Security. Please, read this:

Yea I heard about CM and removed it immediately. That's why Im trying to find a new replacement. But I better install an AV to be on the safe side :-)
