Any UFC fans here?

Thanks Adauth for joining this thread :)

So u are saying Jake will beat GSP? Coz the almost certain that GSP's next fight (if he beats Jake) is Anderson.

gsp vs silva may never happen. if gsp beats shields then the winner of penn vs fitch is going to be the no 1 contender and a gsp vs penn rematch could be money.

even though i dont necessarily like silva that much i think he'd dominate gsp. he has fought at 205 and won easily and he has completely dominated 185. striking advantage goes to silva, he's got stopping power in his hands (griffin, irvin, marquardt), elbows (had lutter in a triangle landing elbow after elbow till lutter sub'd due to strikes), knees (franklin twice, leben), and kicks(front kick to belfort), gsp doesnt have stopping power, he punched koz in the face for 25 minutes straight and couldnt knock him out. submission advantage goes to silva too, he sub'd henderson and sonnen and they were both powerful experienced wrestlers. gsp has his wrestling going for him but even sonnen on roids couldnt finish silva on the ground.

Thanks guys.

cipher6, it's announced at the press conference for the fight with GSP and Shields.

ballisticn8, thanks. I think I go with your breakdown. Except in choosing who to support, they both are so beloved.

Anderson is every inch a fighter that we all fight fans love. While GSP carries himself so well in manners and poise.

I def dont disagree that Anderson Silva isnt a fighter it just depends on what Anderson shows up to fight. His antics and refusal to engage fighters in several fights and play it safe dancing and running around the cage have put me off a little.

GSP, I dunno, he wins but four of his last five fights have been pick him up, take him down, hold him down and strike but not do any real damage, round ends, repeat until you win by decision.

Nobody has really found a way to get by either fighter yet but just the way the majority of their fights have gone have really put me off of wanting to watch either one... Only thing really exciting to happen from either in probably 8 combined fights between both fighters was Anderson folding Vitor with that front kick to the face.

Thoughts = wow, Shogun got worked worse than he did when he fought Forrest. I wonder if he was sick or injured because that didnt look anything like the normal Shogun. Jones just made a mockery of him, kinda like Frankie Edgar did to BJ Penn but Jones finished Shogun.

Thanks for your thoughts ballisticn8. Yeah, sad to see a great fighter going down this way. Hope it's because of injuries.

Jones was awesome! You just knew immediately that one was not going the distance!

What did you guys think of Jim Miller vs Kamal Shalorus? It was painful watching Miller trying to get that choke locked in...I was getting exhausted just watching it!!

Yet to catch Jim Miller vs Kamal Shalorus but caught a little of Shogun vs Jones and sad to see Shogun's face like all busted up :(

Silva vs. GSP would not be a good fight, but if it happens Silva would most likely win.

Silva vs. Jones, now there would be a good fight.

Sadly yes it would take that long for a superfight to happen. Look how long it has taken Dana to admit to possibly doing a Silva/GSP fight.

Silva>GSP.......Bones Jones>Silva

Reasoning....Silva wins fights, and when he cares he does it when he wants, GSP wins fights in 5 rounds.....I'd go TKO all day

Jonny Jones is to fast and to lively for the Spider, he would catch Silva before Silva would catch him

Anyone gonna be watching Strikeforce tomorrow night?

IMO Diaz takes it, but with Daley's power I wouldn't count out an upset...

I hope Diaz gets KTFO, not that I really like Daley all that much... Diaz has already come out and said that he doesnt care if Daley gets the belt he wants to fight in the UFC.

on a TUF note, LETS GO TEAM DOS SANTOS!!!

i cant believe all of you think silva would beat GSP. There isn't a cold chance in hell for that. GSP is too well rounded. and he has the style advantage on the ground. if it is kept on the feet it will be a good fight.

Silva's ground skills are nothing to laugh at, he just hasnt had to use them. He knocks everyone out.

^^ this... the size difference alone gsp would never get in on him. reach advantage and kicks go to silva who knocks out people in weight classes 20 pounds heavier than him. we already know gsp has a weak chin (matt sera), with how deadly accurate silva's hands, elbows, knees, and legs are he would probably have a first round ko win.

GSP "had" a weak chin. yes silva fights people heavier but what about faster? GSP has great agility and can get inside quick to nullify Silva's strikes with quick and accurate takedowns. GSP is not going to stand there like Silva's other opponents let him hit him in the face. They need to make this fight happen. A LOT of people will be shocked.
