Any way to change lock screen theme but keep password protected?

I have an LG Optimus V with Go Launcher, not rooted. I am currently using the "Draw a pattern to unlock" lock screen. I've been looking at the different themes people are using for their lock screens, but I haven't come across a way to be able to still keep the lock screen password protected in some way and still be able to customize the lock screen. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

use Golocker a extention of go launcher it has the option for that but first use nolock to turn off the default one

I do like the fourkey theme for the go locker, but I've looked everywhere and I cannot find a way to password protect it at all.

If you theme using widgetlocker, simply set it to not disable stock lockscreen. When you swipe open widgetlocker (or whatever unlock method you use) it will take you automatically to the enter password screen or draw pattern screen.

Lol, looks like I'm just sticking with my boring stock lock screen... Rather do that then have 2 lock screens now. Wonder why none of them have password protected screens.

You could use an invisible lock. I used to use it. You have to slide at the right place and right direction to unlock, only thing is, only you know where that is. :-)

Here's an example of my old lockscreen theme when I used an invisible slider.

If you hand it to someone, they'd just keep on wondering how to open the damn phone. :-)

That's just so inelegant, its things like this plus the huge battery drain of lockscreen replacement apps that make me never want to use them.

You can customize it with GoLocker. It has the option to add a pin number lock and pattern lock. Widgetlocker also does it too. Just uncheck "disable lock screen".

To set up a password protected lock on GoLocker:
1. Press the menu button on your phone.
2. Click on themes.
3. Click on setting.
4. Click Go Locker.
5. Click Security Lock.
6. Select PIN or Pattern lock.

Now you have a customized lockscreen and it's password protected. Problem solved.

If your phone has a double lock problem. Then get No Lock from the market.

and the lock screens are customizable? What is the name of the app with the invisible lock?

Widgetlocker. Is fully customizeable. You get widgetlocker then download the invisible slider theme. You can put any widget or slider or shortcut on it. You can think of it as an extra homescreen.
