Help Any way to make message text show in notification?

This seems like it be a very popular mod, is there any way to make it show the text of the message where it says "X new message(s)"

I'm root btw
 
Go Launcher SMS widget works well for quick view and actions. (not sure if you are running Go). If not, Handcent also can do it.
 
sms popup will do a popup box, but run off the stock app. IDK if that's what you are looking for. It won't do it in the notification bar. It's free, DL it and see....
 
I like the quick summary I get when a text message comes in and then disappears. If the text is important, I go to text and reply, otherwise it can wait.

What i'm saying is, when I pull down the notification bar, the actual notification should say the content of the text.

I get what you are trying to do. I don't think I've ever seen an app that does it. Other than Handcent or GoSms, or similar....

And I for one give a thumbs up to Handcent. Popup appears when you get a text and you have an option to give a quick reply or cancel and answer later. Great app IMHO
 
sms popup is great! I have it and love it! I just wish my contact FB pictures would pop up in the window! It use to do that, but not anymore
