Help Any way to restore bluetooth tethering on Galaxy S 8.4 (4.4.2)

Samsung have removed the bluetooth tethering option from Settings.

My tablet is rooted.

I tried every app in the shop and none work.

I would appreciate any suggestions. Is there perhaps a USB-bluetooth adaptor which might work - this is for bluetooth tethering to a Nokia 808 phone.

I saw your post the other day but couldn't help. Android does not recognise ad-hoc networks, although a rooted device with a modified wpa_supplicant can as you stated. Couldn't find that for your device, either:(
Sorry I can't help

An update in case anybody reads this in the future: I have abandoned this job. Short of flashing the tablet with Cyanogenmod CFW (which is very new for the T700) there appears to be no solution. Google+Samsung have well and truly crippled this product.
