Anybody get a new voicemail icon on their droid?

I have google voice enabled for my voicemail, and today i had a message (from myself no less) and there is nothing on my voicemail, yet the icon is still there and no way to clear it.

Any Thoughts??

I just created a thread on the very same issue. Ive tried everything I could to get rid of it, no success. This is weird.

just figured it out......

you have to disable your google voicemail, and check your regular cell phone voicemail.....i had a message forwarded to my cell phone that google voice somehow didnt catch...but check it and then reactivate if you wish.

Wouldn't the carrier voicemail icon be different from the GV notification icon (and therefore a clue)?

it WAS different, but 1 i had NEVER seen before......thats why i tried what i tried

Happened to me about a month ago. My wife forwarded me a message but didn't realize that it was a forwarded message. It took me 2 days to figure it out.
