Help Anybody using the Amazon Kindle app?

I've just started using it recently to purchase and read Science Fiction from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s.

What does that little lock icon that shows up on the bottom right of a page mean? I've tapped on it but it doesn't seem to do anything?

Nevermind, I prefer to read in portrait mode anyway I won't bother with the lock. Thanks gbsa.

Yeah I get that. But a lock? I associate that with security not rotation

If you want some old Sci Fi, Try Gutenberg or Smashwords. You will have to select MOBI to use them on Kindle and mostly they are free. Baen has some of the older books re-edited.

The Vulcan likes his Kindle and he can share books. I have to convert to EPUB as I have an android reader.
